“Diva” has lifetime totals of 286,560 lbs. milk, 16,104 lbs. fat and 10,801 lbs. protein in 4,164 days. Her average daily production is 64 lbs. milk, 3.6 lbs. fat and 2.4 lbs. protein. She is an Excellent-92% daughter of O.F. Mannix Rebel-ET.

She is in the donor dam program at Dutch Hollow Farm and has 23 registered progeny to date, including the popular bull, Dutch Hollow Lexicon-P at Genex.

“Diva” is following in the footsteps of her dam, Dutch Hollow Klassic Deva-ET, who placed in the 2014 lifetime production contest as well, with 254,125 lbs. milk, 12,900 lbs. fat and 9,051 lbs. protein. “Diva’s” daughter, Dutch Hollow Virgil Dionne, is also continuing the tradition, with lifetime production of 166,680 lbs. milk, 9,400 lbs. fat and 6,262 lbs. protein in 2,036 days to date.

This award is presented to the highest-placing junior in each class who both bred their animal and showed her at the All American Junior Jersey Show in Louisville, KY, in November.

We are proud that Dutch Hollow Oliver-P has again been named one of the Jersey breed’s most used Registered Jersey bulls in 2019.

With 26 Registered Jersey sons in 2019, “Oliver-P” ranked #15. He ranked #6 for registered sons in 2018.

To date, 2,358 “Oliver-P” daughters have been registered by the American Jersey Cattle Association. Many other “Oliver-P” daughters are in herds in other parts of the world as well.

Dutch Hollow Farm was one of two farm stops U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue made in late August to address migrant worker issues on farms. Perdue visited the farms on his way to the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse.

Perdue reported that help for seasonal migrant workers may come from a more automated H-2A visa process, planned for next year’s growing season. But this does not help dairy farmers, who need year-round workers.

A new bill to create such a program—the Ag and Legal Workforce Act—was released by the House of Representatives in July. The bill proposes a new H-2C program that would allow for both seasonal and year-round employees and increase the number of visas available.
