Dutch Hollow’s “Diva” Earns Top Prizes in Lifetime Production Contest

We could not be prouder of one of our own — Dutch Hollow Rebel Diva — who recently earned two of the Jersey breed’s most distinctive production awards. “Diva” has been named winner of both the High Lawn Trophy for lifetime fat production and the Edyvean Farm Trophy for lifetime protein production. The awards are presented annually by the American Jersey Cattle Association to the living Jersey cow that produces the most fat and protein production over the course of her lifetime.

“Diva” has lifetime totals of 286,560 lbs. milk, 16,104 lbs. fat and 10,801 lbs. protein in 4,164 days. Her average daily production is 64 lbs. milk, 3.6 lbs. fat and 2.4 lbs. protein. She is an Excellent-92% daughter of O.F. Mannix Rebel-ET.

She is in the donor dam program at Dutch Hollow Farm and has 23 registered progeny to date, including the popular bull, Dutch Hollow Lexicon-P at Genex.

It’s in the Genes

“Diva” is following in the footsteps of her dam, Dutch Hollow Klassic Deva-ET, who placed in the 2014 lifetime production contest as well, with 254,125 lbs. milk, 12,900 lbs. fat and 9,051 lbs. protein. “Diva’s” daughter, Dutch Hollow Virgil Dionne, is also continuing the tradition, with lifetime production of 166,680 lbs. milk, 9,400 lbs. fat and 6,262 lbs. protein in 2,036 days to date.
